Dutch engineering meets Danish textile craft in this particular F510. Geoffrey Harcourt's iconic swivel chair for Artifort has been given a new life through professional reupholstery in pure wool from Danish Art Weaving, produced by the storied McNutt mill.

The fabric choice elevates an already exceptional design. Danish Art Weaving's wool has a depth and hand-feel that synthetic materials cannot replicate, a natural warmth that makes the chair as inviting to touch as it is to look at. The weave catches light subtly, giving the surface a living quality that changes throughout the day.

Underneath the fresh upholstery, this remains a vintage F510 from the 1960s, with all the structural integrity that Artifort's Maastricht factory built into every piece. The swivel mechanism turns smoothly, the foam has been refreshed, and the overall proportions remain exactly as Harcourt intended.

The F510 emerged from Harcourt's deep exploration of ergonomic seating at Artifort, where he worked alongside the company's founder, Kho Liang Ie. Together they created a design language that prized comfort as much as form, producing chairs that looked like sculptures but sat like armchairs. The F510 represents the pinnacle of that philosophy.

This is sustainable design in its truest sense: a sixty-year-old chair, renewed with premium natural materials, ready for another lifetime of daily use. It is an investment in timeless design, comfort, and a more thoughtful way of living with objects.
