Some chairs are all statement and no comfort; this one refuses to choose. A **Dutch modernist lounge chair** from the 1980s-90s, upholstered in supple black leather, with its signature feature in full view: two sweeping **chrome arc armrests** that curve from backrest to floor in one uninterrupted gesture, each topped with a slim leather paddle for your forearms.

The design borrows openly from the tubular-steel optimism of the 1930s — think Art Deco club chairs reinterpreted through a clean, Dutch-design lens. Deep cushions, a generously angled backrest and that floating-frame construction give it the kind of comfort that keeps guests seated long after the coffee is gone.

The leather has aged exactly as good leather should: smooth, soft, with barely a trace of wear. The chrome is bright and free of pitting.
