Set of Two Table Lamps by ARTE VANNES
Two blown crystal lamps made by renowned crystal manufacturer Art Vannes, dating from around the middle of the 20th century. The origins of the Art Vannes manufacturing story date back to the mid 18th century, to a village in the eastern Lorraine region of France, which had become a hub for master glassmakers in the region, and which, incidentally is still home today to Europe’s largest glassmaking school. The base of the lamps are made from twisted glass, reflecting the light in a beautiful and dramatic way. The screaming lamp shades provide a bold contrast with the clean glass bases, creating a dynamic visual tension.
One of our lamps is certified Arte Vannes, the other one is from an unknown manufacturer, but truly similar to the its neighbor. And a practical update: the electricity has been fully renewed in both lamps, ensuring safe and reliable use (incl. cables, switches, plugs).
