Robert and Jean Cloutier, two brothers from France, were ceramists and sculptors who used a variety of materials to create their furniture and art. This dreamlike side table has a sleek steel frame and is accentuated by a refined tabletop, inlaid with carefully enameled tiles. Typical for the autors, three of these tiles are adorned with delicate, hand-painted decorations. A practical but also aethetic feature is the elastic holder on the side, designed for storing magazines and newspapers.
